Bean (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

We heard from the Kenner family, "Bean has a new little sister now and a permanent place by her high chair."  If you look closely, there is a kitty in the picture on the right.  I am so happy to see Bean taking an active roll with her new little sister.  I bet they will have plenty of adventures together in the future.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Lola (Beau x Poppy - March 2009) & Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

We recently received an email from the Pfeister family titled, "Merry Christmas from the Keys" which made me want to pack up and head south to see Santa.  Luke and Lola are soaking up the sun and I have to admit...I'm a little jealous.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Fenway (Poppy x Beauregard - July 2008)

The Johnson family shared, "He is doing great and has been such a pleasure to have around.  He really is enjoying the fall weather right now - going on as many walks as he can and even venturing to a corn maze last weekend which is what the one pic is from.  He's also starting to learn how to be lazy now and can often be found lounging on the deck.  I can not thank you enough for him."
***********************************************************************************************************************************

Jay Jay

The Ruiz family writes, "...pictures from Mr. JJ during this year (already 3 years old). During this year he has traveled to Connecticut, Upstate New York, West Virginia, Florida (2 times) visiting his grand mother, and California. He went fishing, rabbit hunting, and camping twice.  As you can see by the photos he has an amazing dog life...Thanks JJ is the best dog ever."

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Luna and Aurora (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2008)

The Harrison family sent an update including many pictures showing the very active lives of Luna and Aurora:

"We hope everything is going great at the kennels.  We... wanted to say
'Hi!' and to let you know that everything is going great with Luna and
Aurora.  They graduated from their Intermediate class last year and are
about to start on the Advanced class.  Luna and Aurora are starting to mix tricks into their regular training.  The latest is jumping through a hoop.

We also attempted to start teaching them to scent.  We play "Find Mommy!",
where she straps and old sock that we keep in the treat bin around her ankle
and goes through the house to find a hiding spot.  The first time took them a while to figure out that she was leaving a trail - they were just using their eyes.  But it was amazing to see how quickly they switch to using their noses and how well they can follow a trail - even if it crosses!"

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Shooter (Jackson x Belle - May 2010)

The King family shared, "...here are a few pictures of Shooter at the lake and getting to see his second coon. The more times he sees a coon the more fired up he gets. He is a great family dog during the day and loves to go to the woods in the evening. He thinks the Rhino and my truck belong to him and anytime they leave the property he should be in the back of one of them.

If he continues to stay interested in coons I believe he will turn into a good Tree Dog but its one of those things that time and lots of hunting will tell. According to John Wick training is 10% and breeding is 90%; if so, you done a good job breeding this hound."

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Daisy (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

I was lucky enough to tag along with Phillip on the night Daisy won her first hunt.  It was a very competitive cast that came down to the last few minutes.  She decided to do her own thing and turn left when the rest of the hounds went to the right.  Daisy gave a long bawl locate and rolled into steady chops which told me she was looking at a raccoon.  That tree made the difference and she won the entire hunt.  I couldn't have been happier for Phillip.  He has worked very hard with his hound and its nice to see good things happen to good people.  Two weeks later, he entered Daisy in another hunt at a different club.  She won it too.  A couple of months passed before Daisy won another hunt at yet a different club.  Daisy is now a UKC Nite Champion.  She did it by winning three hunts at three different clubs!  Nice job.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Daisy (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

I really enjoyed hunting with Phillip and Daisy this past season.  She has turned into a very nice young hound.  I took this picture on a cool night on top of a North Carolina mountain.  Holly managed to sneak in and strike the track first but Daisy showed her mom how to get treed quickly.  Daisy is a loud hard tree dog that is very easy to call.  She bawls on track, has a long dying bawl locate and chops hard on the tree.  I would call her a true pleasure hound in every since of the word.  The icing on the cake is her looks.  She is a gorgeous dark red hound that is built right.  The Bingo x Holly cross produced beautiful hounds with good noses.  Phillip has decided to put her in a few competition hunts to see what happens.  I wish them the best of luck.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Chili (Ivey x Sneak - 2007)

I recently heard from the York family that shared, "here are a few photos of chili from ivey and sneak 2007  never trained him to hunt but he keeps rodents out of yard and even trees raccoons great with the kids and loves to run and bark.  Best dog ever keep up the good work. One thing he hates cold snow and heat Pa only has 2 seasons now.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

The Keith family sent in pictures of Fred saying, "He has been such a good dog and hard to believe he will be 3 in October!  Our son will be 2 in August we feel like they have almost grown up together.  They are best friends and Garrett loves to pet Fred, lay next to him, and chase him around the house...he would chase him all day but we don't let him do that!  The summer gets hot down here so we don't let him out for too long. Fred loves the A/C!!  He will stick his head right in front of the vent in the truck."

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Bean (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The Kenner family shared these recent photos of Bean along with the message that "Bean is doing great!...is
smart but super head-strong...she is the sweetest, prettiest coonhound I've ever seen! A total cuddle bear. She and Bella hang out regularly and their love/hate relationship is hilarious. Bean also loves our two cats and tries to
lick/play/taunt them all day long.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Lola (Beau x Poppy - March 2009) & Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

I received an email from the Pfeister family that included attached photos of the hounds helping to decorate for Christmas.  I'm not sure it turned out like they had planned...poor Santa Bear.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007) & Magic (Poppy x Beauregard June 2008)

I've been told that Magic likes the smell of Burt's Bees Lip Balm and if she sniffs it on your face to be prepared to have your face licked.  I've also been told that one of Savannah's favorite things is to get up, eat, drink some water and go out and sun herself.  She looks like she is enjoying the afternoon sun.

************************************************************************************************************************************

Chloe (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2009)

The Schmauch family sent in the above pictures (Chloe is closest to the fire and Cooper is out front) and shared "Wanted to touch base with you and give you an update that your pup Chloe is still around and doing fine.  She is a very healthy dog with a great attitude.  Everyone that meets her says she is one of the finest looking dogs they've seen.  Both of them make a great team."

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Lola (Beau x Poppy - March 2009) & Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

I honestly don't believe they make hounds any more striking than these two.  They remind me so much of Beauregard and Chance in the face.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Chloe (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2009)

The Schmauch family sent in a picture of Chloe and Cooper.  Chloe has joined a very active family and will have plenty of opportunity for fun in the great outdoors.  She also the good fortune of having another Redbone in the family to show her the ropes.

"The pup is great.  She's a fireball.  Cooper doesn't know what to do with her.  Trying to get them both on a good routine so we'll see.  They love the walks in the woods.  Already have here sitting.  I attached a picture of them down by the river."

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Lola (Beau x Poppy - March 2009) & Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

Then there are the pictures of Lola with her big brother, Luke.  The Pfeister family sent in these pictures of the two youngsters enjoying playtime in the pool.  We have known that Luke was a water dog for some time and it appears that Lola is going to have no problem getting wet too.  What a good looking pair of hounds.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Trailor (Poppy x Beauregard July 2008)

Another report recently came in updating us on Trailor's progression in the woods.  Evidently, she has been running and treeing raccoons by herself since she turned ten month's old.  I have one word to describe what she has accomplished to date...impressive.  I received an email along with a picture from a hunt that shows Trailor treeing on a huge tree.

"Heres a picture of Trailor on a big ol tree. She worked this track for forever it seemed but then all of the sudden bam she started to tree..its not the best of pictures but It'll do."

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Legend (Beau x Poppy - March 2009)

The Comtois family shared that "Legend has settled in with our family nicely. It's almost as if he was always here.
His personality is truly awesome. It is still amazing to us how fast he has been trained, he has had very
few accidents. Here are just a few pics, I promise to keep more coming. I think he could be the new
face of Purina, haha ."  I'm not laughing.  I really think Legend could be the next face of Purina!  He is one very handsome and shiny young hound.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Fury

Here is Fury.  She joined the McBane family and has already made several friends.  It is always a good thing to see a puppy have another Redbone role model in the house to help the youngster figure out the whole "raccoon" hunting thing.  Fury is very lucking to also have a pair of labs to take her swimming.  What a wonderful home for a wonderful puppy.  It appears that after some serious play, Fury was able to take a powernap.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Lola (Beau x Poppy - March 2009) & Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

I recently received an email from the Pfeister family with an attachment titled "Ninja Redbone."  The email had one sentence..."We think Lola will grow to be alpha."  What a great picture.  After I stopped laughing, I knew I had to share this one.  Lola really does look like she is about to strike Luke with some sort of Karate chop.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

Fred looks like he is flying down the creek, easing down the creek and then ready to grab something to eat and possibly take a nap.  The Keith family wrote...

"We just got back from East TX and I wanted to post some pictures of Fred.  He really had a good time this weekend with the nice weather and all.  He is about to drop even after sleeping all the way back in the truck.  He loves running through the water and then jumping the banks to smell and around.  Our woods are pretty thick so he got to do a lot of good exploring!"

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Trailor (Poppy x Beauregard July 2008)

Trailer is seen here posing on top of the dogbox that has one of my favorite stickers displayed, "Coonhunt with Redbones."  I have heard that this little Redbone has begun to track by scent and is steadily advancing in her training.

*************************************************************************************************************************************

Bristol (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The White family enclosed pictures with the following update...

"We thought we would send 2 funny pictures and one close up of Bristol for your Hound News on the website. We are so in love with her... she is one spoiled dog but she is so cute. She loves to cuddle with me, she loves attention and affection and she LOVES to lay in the sun (indoors through the window of course cause she doesn't like to be away from humans too long)."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007) & Magic (Poppy x Beauregard June 2008)

Magic and Savannah are being very patient as they wait for a favorite treat.  I'm not sure what they see on the other side of the window.  Maybe it was their first snow.  Magic is seen on the right with a snow dusted muzzle.  Doesn't that look like fun?

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The Pfeister family sent in Luke's puppy picture and an update on his adventures.  Evidently, Luke has taken to the water and loves spending lots of playtime in his very own pool.  I'm not sure what he is looking for in the bottom of the pool but I hear he likes sand crabs and coconuts.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bean (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The Kenner family sent in these pictures along with the following message..

"I thought you'd enjoy this photo of Bean, clutching the remote and the pillow.  She is seriously one spoiled hound."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Trailer (Poppy x Beauregard July 2008)

The Hudnall family wrote to say, "Here are some pictures of Trailor. I had her up on the deck the other day when I was cleaning out the kennels after most of the snow melted. She is doing well.  She's my pride and joy and I'm going to try my hardest to make a good coondog out of her."

Trailer has a gorgeous face.  I really like that dark muzzle and long ears.  I am not sure who her friend is in the background but it looks like she may be buddies with a Treeing Walker.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The Pfeister's sent in pictures of Luke taken over a holiday visit with family.  Evidently, Luke is becoming quite the water dog.  He has such a innocent face.  I cannot imagine him ever doing anything to get himself into trouble!

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007)

I can see the attitude oozing in the picture on the right.  Savannah certainly has her mother's Diva pout!  She is an absolute Princess!  Savannah and Magic (not pictured) saw their first snow on Tuesday.  I look forward to seeing the pictures of them both playing their hearts out in it.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fenway (Poppy x Beauregard - July 2008)

I received an update from the Johnson family on Fenway and learned that he is doing very well and already weighs 60 pounds.  The picture below shows Fenway experiencing his first snow.  I was told that he loved playing in the snow.  He sure does remind me a lot of Beauregard.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

The Keith family wrote to say that Fred and his new little brother are both really growing up fast.  Fred now weighs right at 70 pounds and is really strong!  They have noticed him being a lot more aware of his environment and he still loves his trips to the dog park.  Fred has also been working on his dog book page on Facebook in his spare time.  He has really been great around the new baby.  He is very curious but definitely knows his boundaries.  Fred is seen below taking a nap on the sofa.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Lucy (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2008)

The Muralt family sent in this picture of Lucy along with wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

"Lucy completes us this year.  We thought we would be without our dog this Christmas.  She is a wonderful dog and very smart and listens very well.  We are so grateful to have her as part of our family.  She is getting big now, about 50 lbs.  She loves to play with the boys in the back yard or in the house."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bean (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

No matter how many times I look at this picture, I cannot figure out how Bean managed to fall asleep standing up.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luna and Aurora (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2008)

The Harrison family recently returned from a camping adventure on Red Top Mountain.  It appears that Luna and Aurora make great heaters by burying themselves under the blankets.  The second picture shows us that a Redbone can be a wonderful playmate for a niece or nephew.  The picture on the right is proof that these girls are first class snugglers.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007) & Magic (Poppy x Beauregard June 2008)

Magic sure is growing fast.  The picture of Savannah on the right makes me think of her sire Bingo.  He sure had a beautiful head and gorgeous coat.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The Pfeister's wrote in to say that Luke is doing great. The photos were taken while attending training school.  They also say that Luke sure is getting big! He is giving the family a good work out on their walks.  They walk for 1-1 ½ hours every evening.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luna and Aurora (Poppy x Beauregard - June 2008)

Luna and Aurora's family wrote, "The girls have been doing steadily better with learning commands (sit, come, down).  The excitement this past week was a heavy thunderstorm, which littered the yard with plenty of leaves and pine cones to chew on, and visiting Bruster's for free Doggie Ice Cream."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Rufus (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

It always makes me happy to see puppy pictures that involve other puppies.  The picture of Rufus and Theodore is too cute.  I can only imagine what these two boys will get into in the coming years.  Rufus' family wrote the following:

"I am attaching some pictures of Rufus.  The first three are of his first day in New Orleans, as you can see he started posing for the camera from day one!  I've also attached a picture of his first vet visit with Nikki and I, he weighed in at 17.4 lbs!  The last two are of him playing with his cousin, Theodore, a Bernese Mountain Dog."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

Fred continues to be a favorite of the folks that visit our website.  I received this message from Fred's family along with an interesting picture.

"Fred has just been the best dog and he sure does attract a lot of attention!  He has also been just great around the baby!  I don't think I will ever own another dog other than a Redbone...Thanks for posting Fred's info about the Mayoral race.  He did pretty good for a late notice entry.  We were encouraged to run from the dog park president, as Fred has a big following out there!!  We'll try a little harder next year.  I am going to send you a few recent pics of Fred.  One is were I caught him drooling while I was grilling some chicken outside.  Fred just goes into fits when I BBQ out back."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Luke (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

It appears that Luke is adjusting well to life in the Keys.  He is seen here with a stuffed bird.  The Pfiester family shared with me that they will be attending a four hour handlers workshop in preparation for their upcoming obedience classes.  They also told me that they are beginning to believe that the classes are more for them than Luke!  I am happy to report that Luke is showing signs of being very intelligent as well as having a strong memory.  The Pfiester family tells me that their life has changed forever with the arrival of Luke and they are very Happy.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007) & Magic (Poppy x Beauregard June 2008)

The Thompson family shared these photos of Savannah and Magic doing what hounds have been known to do...be lazy.  There is also a wonderful picture showing the two of them curled up next to each other.  It makes me very happy to see two beautiful Redbones getting along so well with each other.  I hear that Savannah is being a great big sister to Magic.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bean (Ivey x Chance - July 2008) and Bella (Holly x Weed - July 2006)

The Kenner family sent in a picture of Bean with her first bone.  What a cute picture.  About the same time, the Barnard family sent in a picture of Bean visiting with her Aunt Bella along with these comments, "I have been watching Bean, of course, ever since she was born.  Bella is being a perfect aunt.  Its pretty funny,  Their front yard is right across the street from our house, so every time they take Bean out front...we know.  Bella somehow hears her or smells her.  I am not sure.  But, she starts whining and shaking.  They had their 2nd meeting today and I shot this.  We had a rare moment of sun so it isn't my best shot, but you get the drift.  I have to say though that Checkers, the yorkie and Bean are definitely tight.  They are exactly the same size so she, as well, is learning from the Yorkie."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

I received the following information regarding Fred and wanted to share it with you.

"I have talked to a few of you already but Fred is running for Mayor of Fort Woof, the dog park in Fort Worth, TX.  The Mayor will be chosen this Saturday October 4th at Barktoberfest at the park.  The Mayor will be determined by how much money is raised for the candidate between now and then.  To read about Fred and his platform you can go this link http://fortwoof.org/nominate.htm

All contributions will go to for improvements and maintenance of the park.  All contributions are also tax deductible.  If you can come out to Barktoberfest between 10 and 2 this Saturday. Thanks and vote for FRED!!!

This message was approved by FRED."

I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Fred on his first attempt at running for Mayor of Fort Woof.  He made history by being the first Redbone (to my knowledge) to run for this office.  Although in the end he was not victorious, he finished a very respectable fourth in a competitive field of nine top hounds.  You can read more about Fred and his local dog park by visiting the above link.

Fred, we are very proud of you.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bristol (Ivey x Chance - July 2008)

The White family has shared a picture of Bristol posing on the bed.  She is such a pretty girl.  At the moment, she is taking long walks with her mom and enjoying plenty of exercise that includes playing with her raccoon toy.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fenway (Poppy x Beauregard - July 2008)

The Johnson family sent in these pictures of Fenway.  He is one handsome hound.  I am told that he is a great puppy and is growing fast.  Fenway enjoys spending time with his pal Cali, the Golden Retriever.  The only issue they have with their youngster is that Fenway tries to eat Cali's food.  Fenway also enjoys long walks but they often spend extra time meeting everyone he sees along the way since he loves people so much.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

Breaking News!!!! Fred is a big brother.  I have been told that he welcomed an eight pound two ounce baby brother into the family on August 12th.  Congratulations to the Keith family on two extremely handsome boys.  Fred is seen here checking on his little brother by peering around the corner as well as by taking a friendly sniff.  I heard that when the baby cries, Fred will go find something to do to take his mind off of the strange new sound or simply burrow his head under the pillows on the couch.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo - October 2007)

Savannah became a big sister recently.  Magic (Poppy x Beauregard June 2008) is seen here chewing on a pine cone and occasionally chews on Savannah as well.  I have been told that Magic has fit in nicely with the family and that she and Savannah are already experiencing some sibling rivalry.  Both girls want each others food bowls, even though they have exactly the same food from the same bin.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Tallulah Rockstar (Bingo x Holly - October 2007)

The Dodson family sent in this picture of Tallulah Rockstar and as soon as I opened it, I could not believe how much she looks like Holly.  Tallulah Rockstar also shares with her mom her love of attention.  I am told that Wasabi, the family Wheaton Terrier, has been a wonderful big brother and is very happy that she is growing out of the puppy phase and becoming a more calm and loving adult hound.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bella (Weed x Holly - July 2006)

The Barnard family sent in a photo of Bella's latest adventure...chickens.  "We have had them a week now and she is
being such an amazing girl!  We continue to test her ability to control her natural abilities as a hunter and she continues to give us the love and trust that we know she has in her.  She has now accepted them and has
basically found that they too, just like children are a good source for food scraps.  The attached picture pretty much sums up her days.  She is doing great.  Passed out on our couch as we speak."

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Pluto (Ivey x Sneak July 2007)

The Batts family writes that Pluto has won his class in his first ever bench show competition.  He sure is a good looking young hound that will no doubt continue his winning ways.  Congratulations to Pluto and Team Batts on their win.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Holly x Bingo October 2007)

The Thompson family sent in a few pictures taken on the back deck.  The first shows Savannah posing for the camera in true Redbone style.  The second is of Savannah chewing her heart out.  I am told that she will soon begin training at a local pond where she hopes to sharpen her swimming skills.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Bella (Weed x Holly - July 2006)

The Barnard family has sent in a few more pictures of the most spoiled coonhound in the world and her friend Checkers, the Yorkshire Terrier.  I am told they are a perfect combo but make no mistake, Checkers runs the place!

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly October 2007)

The Keith family has been enjoying some beautiful weather in East Texas which has given Fred the opportunity to enjoy the dog park and walks in the neighborhood.  Fred has been accompanying his family on their fishing adventures and is seen on the left getting his feet wet in the pond.  Fred also took the time to strike a pose by the fence.  He sure is a handsome fellow.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Bingo x Holly October 2007)

Savannah's mom called to share her experiences while attending a local coonhound event in Rockingham, North Carolina.  Savannah was able to walk around the grounds and meet several other breeds of hounds including Black & Tan, English and Treeing Walkers.  Although too young to compete yet, they were able to watch the water race, treeing contest and bench show.

The Thompson family plans to go back to family day at the club in Rockingham to try their luck at several events.  Family day gives folks the opportunity to learn more about the different events held at the club as well as try them out without the pressure of competition.  This is a great way to get a little practice before going all out into the world of competition coonhound events.  Best of luck to Savannah and team Thompson.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Fred (Bingo x Holly October 2007)

The Keith family writes to say they sure have enjoyed Fred and that he
is just a wonderful dog!  Fred now weighs 45 pounds and has really
grown fast.  It looks like he is going to be a big boy!  Fred and the family spend a lot of time at the local dog park where Fred has lots of "dog friends."  He is especially fond of Molly the beagle and Allie the cocker spaniel.  It was exciting to hear that "the folks out there really love him too and start calling his name from the parking lot whenever we go.  He loves the attention!  He thinks he is a rock star!"  Fred recently graduated to the big dog side since he is now over forty
pounds and he is adjusting to not being the biggest kid on the block.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Spirit (Weed x Holly - July 2006) is seen here treeing during the Winona Coonhunter's Invitational Hunt in Winona, Mississippi.  Also seen in the picture is one of the resident studs from All Night Kennels located in Kentucky.  She is an impressive young hound that will likely find her way into the competition world in the next few months.  I'll keep you posted on her progress.  Best of luck to Chuck Copeland on this youngster.  Judging from the night I spent following her through the woods, I believe he has a winner on his hands.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Ramona (Sneak x Ivey July 2007) enjoys spending time with her best friend Dexter the Beagle.  The Taylor family describes Ramona as a wonderful hound that doesn't let Dexter rest for a minute.  She always wants to wrestle with her pal.  Ramona loves the beach but is scared of the waves.  Dexter is actually teaching her to tree squirrels, which is pretty funny.  She has a lot of energy but then wears herself out and falls asleep. She has a million toys and she LOVES to play fetch.  She has made friends with the neighbor's dogs too. She can definitely be headstrong, especially demanding to be the center of attention but she makes up for it in how lovable and cuddly she is, Ramona just wants to cuddle all the time!

**************************************************************************************************************************************

Savannah (Bingo x Holly October 2007) looks to be resting after a serious romp this past December.  The Thompson family shared with me that this gorgeous little girl gets complements everywhere they go.  She is enjoying frequent walks in the park and has begun some early training for a possible career as a show girl.

**************************************************************************************************************************************

I think that these pictures of Fred (Bingo x Holly October 2007) represent before and after images of a day filled with lots of playtime.  The Keith family shared with us that Fred likes to take long walks in the pastures and keeps his nose to the ground at all times.

Spirit (Weed x Holly - July 2006) is shown here treeing her own raccoon at ten months of age.  The Copelands are very proud of this youngster and it appears that she has proven herself to be an early starter.  This family has also added Ruff (Bingo x Holly October 2007) to their pack.  Some of you may have seen Ruff in other places.  He was on our website helping us wish everyone a Merry Christmas.  He sure is a looker.

Ruby (Weed x Holly - July 2006) is a Redskins fan as you may be able to see from the picture of her in front of the Christmas tree.  I was told that she was a good girl this year and that she makes a great companion for the many adventures that the Colvin family tackles each year.  The Colvins send in the most incredible pictures and I wanted to share one of my absolute favorites with you.  Ruby running in the surf was sent in around February 2007 and shows us that this girl enjoys a jog on the beach.

Bella (Weed x Holly - July 2006) is shown here in a picture that the Barnard family shared with us in November of 2006.  She is apparently learning to co-exist with her feline friends.

In a December 2007 update, I was told that Bella enjoys frequent romps around town and although she is a city girl, she and playmate Checkers had a run in with some local raccoons.  According to our sources, Bella was not sure what to do with the raccoons.  Bella and checkers were nose to nose with the bandits.  The coons quickly scurried around Bella and ran up a set of stairs.  Bella wasn't exactly sure what to do but Checkers was all over them!  I've never heard of Yorkshire Terriers being used as trainers for young Coonhounds but maybe they are on to something!

"It was pretty funny and I thought of you and how you would cringe seeing your city hound at work!  We love her so much though and she is a great companion, guard dog and everything else."
